Lessons from a near death experience..

Every single day do something that makes your soul happy!!!

Sometimes I do dumb things and wonder how I managed to get out alive {seriously!).

Today’s inspiration however, is not from my personal escapades. It was the ultimate challenge faced by my hero that had me questioning my daily routine. My father is recovering from a heart event, massive bleeds on the brain, all while fighting the good fight against the Big C with courage and determination that can only be found in the superhuman. Three times this year we were called by doctors to rush to the hospital to farewell Dad. His passion for living and utter commitment to caring for mum were his driving force to do whatever it took to continue on.

Long story short, he is recovering well and facing the challenges of recovery head on!

The lesson for me..(well one of them anyway) is to embrace Dad’s philosophies. These include…Do things that make you happy, things that are important to you. If things go wrong, try again tomorrow. Be kind always and help others anytime you can. Celebrate the little things, as these are the big things. And the one I am demonstrating this month….

Use the good china!

Donald Whalley

I have a fabulous stash of beautiful paper. It is so pretty that I don’t want to cut it and use it on the projects I purchased it for in the first place. I have decided that now is the time! Use the good china, wear the perfume, write in the new notebook and feature the pretty paper!!!! So for the month of July I am planning to inspire you to use all the pretty paper you have in your crafting stash. Top tip.. a selection of Designer Series Paper is currently on sale at 15% off!! This means you can restock the stash guilt free! (he he)

So let’s get this started with the stunning Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The shiny gold metallic finish is so special that I felt the need to feature the whole page of stunning watercolour imagery. This became the base for the project. It was an easy way to use the paper without the fear of cutting in to it. (lol)

The single sentiment is from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and is dedicated to my hero.

The fabulous Brilliant Wings dies for the kaleidoscope of butterflies runs simply through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine making crafting a breeze! The base of each butterfly is the beautiful designer paper, with the upper layer being basic white!

If you love this paper as much as I do, you can place an order through me, or you can shop directly through my online store. Be sure to use the July Hostess Code DJ4GAHXG as you shop. I then post a reward to you at the end of the month!

Imagine shopping with a discount every time! It is really easy and heaps of fun whether you want to craft for your own hobby or develop a business on your own terms. Contact me to find out more.

I promise to not wax lyrical all month. Hopefully though, you do feel inspired to create pretty handcrafted projects.

Kindest Sentiments and Paper Hugs from your friend in ink
